Lu An Gua Pian is one of China’s “Ten Famous Teas”. It’s grown in the beautiful mountains of Lu An County in Anhui Province, where traditional farming practices are still followed. This tea is hand- picked, one leaf at a time and dried over charcoal in large bamboo baskets. It’s comprised entirely of delicate flat blue-green leaves with all the stems and buds carefully removed. The leaves produce an extremely smooth, sweet liquor, very similar to a fine sencha. Harvested spring 2007.
